About the role

Due to the continued growth of the practice, an exciting career opportunity exists in our Newcastle office for a defendant insurance lawyer to join our CTP practice. The role involves work on CTP claims which may involve complex liability, quantum and medical issues.

You will work directly for one partner within a collegiate and friendly team of professional staff, with a number of paralegal and secretarial staff to support you.

The role is suitable to candidates seeking a flexible working arrangement, on either a part-time or full-time basis.

You’re encouraged to speak to us about how we can make the role work for you.

About you

Ideally, you will have experience in personal injury claims. Defendant or CTP experience will be highly regarded, but what matters most is the quality of your experience and your enthusiasm and willingness to learn.

In addition to solid experience, we are looking for candidates with:

  • outstanding communication and delegation skills
  • a proven track record in delivering excellent client service
  • the ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines
  • self-confidence, initiative and good judgement

A competitive salary is on offer commensurate with your experience and proven capabilities.

If you wish to become part of a well-managed practice with a distinguished reputation, please apply with your application letter and CV. Or for a confidential discussion, please do not hesitate to call our Samantha Morris on (02) 4911 5463.

We are committed to fostering a flexible, inclusive and diverse environment for our employees. We celebrate diverse thinking and experiences and we welcome people of all backgrounds and identities to apply to this position. We encourage our employees to bring their true and authentic self to the workplace. If this opportunity is attractive to you, please submit your cover letter, CV and academic transcript.

Moray & Agnew encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates. In the spirit of reconciliation Moray & Agnew acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to elders past, present and emerging and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.

If you require any adjustments to participate in our recruitment process, please let us know in your application.
