Role Summary
Based from our Brisbane office the Project Engineer (Rolling Stock) will play a key role within our Transportation division. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop high level requirements into functional specifications and progress to detailed technical solutions, working with key Metro stakeholders and suppliers.
Produce Scopes of Works to distil designs into procurable packages of resources, materials and services.
Verify requirements and support business cases to consider safety; reliability, comfort, whole-life maintenance and operating costs.
Carry out Engineering Design and scrutiny activities including: Design review, Engineering Change, Product Risk Assessments; and Australian/International standards compliance.
Produce and review internal and external documentation.
Desired Skills, Experience and Capabilities
Degree or equivalent professional qualification in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics.
Experience managing risk and safety in a rail environment or similar industry e.g. defence, aerospace or government.
Demonstrated experience in reliability engineering and systems engineering.
Demonstrable experience on rolling stock projects, and able to demonstrate an acute ability to track and report on deliverables in a specific, measurable and time-bound matter.
Experience in an urban passenger railway environment.
