About the role
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our supportive Mechanical team in Perth. The role is suitable for a qualified candidate who has significant experience designing Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) building projects.
You will be a technical leader within the mechanical section and will be able to contribute to the development of younger engineers and delegate task effectively. You will be able to work independently on a wide range of projects with an ability to manage workload on several projects at different stages of completion. You will be expected to regularly attend client facing meetings and should have strong consulting skills.

We are currently working on a wide range of healthcare, commercial office and retail, residential, industrial and institutional buildings.
Day to day tasks would involve:
- Independently manage HVAC design projects in accordance with code and company quality standards
- Develop HVAC Engineering, heat load calculations, equipment and reticulation sizing and selection, coordination, and documentation
- Delegate tasks to junior engineers, provide feedback and contribute to their development
- Assist Project Engineers in successfully completing projects, with focus on program, documentation, profitability, technical aspects, risk management and overall Client satisfaction
- Build and develop your professional profile both internally and externally by consistently demonstrating an ability to successfully deliver projects.
To be successful for this role you'll need:
- Mechanical Engineer Degree or equivalent
- Previous experience in similar HVAC building services design role
- It would be advantageous to have healthcare experience, however not compulsory
- Proficient in the use of industry standard software
- Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and Codes
- Working experience using Revit and other software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
